S2 Helicopter Services LLC is a premier utility helicopter company that has carved out a niche in the specialized field of infrared leak detection. Established in 2015 by Jacey Shack, a dedicated service-disabled veteran, the company has rapidly gained a reputation for excellence and reliability in the aviation and utility sectors. Jacey's military background instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, precision, and commitment to service, qualities that are reflected in every aspect of S2 Helicopter Services' operations.
Jacey started his flying career straight out of high school at Sky Helicopters in Garland, TX. Shortly after completing flight school Jacey joined the Army where he continued his aviation career as a 152D (OH-58D Kiowa Warrior) Pilot. The Kiowa task was the Army scout helicopter platform that consisted of finding and tracking enemy movements, observing and reporting road conditions, route security, and ground force assistance.
Jacey left the Army in 2015 and founded S2 Helicopter Services LLC. Jacey is a commercial and instrument rotary wing pilot and has amassed over 9000 hours of flight time.
Bud works closely with oil and gas midstream producers nationwide and is the liaison between S2 Helicopter Services LLC and major oil producers and pipeline operators coordinating logistics and planning of projects.
He has been in this current position with S2 Helicopter Services since late 2020 but has over 14 years of experience in the passive infrared gas leak detection arena. He has traveled to many countries and completed projects in Japan, Georgian Capital of Tbilisi, Tenerifi Island of Spain, deep water offshore floating platforms and gas plants, and countless projects across the United States. Bud has an extensive background in gas gathering systems and pipeline oil field applications having worked 14 years with Leak Surveys Inc and 17 years with Phillips Dricsopipe Plastics Division, a top producer of polyethylene oil and gas piping. A native of Brownwood, Texas, Bud travels throughout the United States giving management presentations and developing working relationships while showcasing the company’s ability to offer premier gas leak detection services which uses state-of-the-art technology. Lastly, Bud has remained very active within the environmental gas detection community attending events such as the TCEQ Environmental Trade Show and Conference, the Permian Basin International Oil Show, the Pipeline Leak Detection & Monitoring Conference, and has been an avid supporter of the EPA’s Gas Star program as an attendee and also as a presenter and panel guest
Andrew started flying in 2022 and has acquired his commercial and CFI rotor craft endorsements. Andrew comes to us from South Texas and as a young aviator has already amassed 600 flight hours.
